PICK YOUR PRO
Pick Your Pro. Trust Your Read. Let the Results Decide.
During the $50 Million+ OSS XL, our Americas Cardroom Pros are going head-to-head to see who can collect the most tournament winnings.
Not who cashes the most. Not who makes the biggest profit. Not who tells the most painful bad-beat story.
THE PRO WITH THE HIGHEST TOTAL TOURNAMENT WINNINGS WINS.

How the Pro Challenge Works
Play at Least 30. Count Up to 60.
Every Pro must play a minimum of 30 eligible OSS XL tournaments. Up to 60 eligible tournaments count toward the challenge. If a Pro plays more than 60, only their first 60 eligible results are included.
Winner = Most Money Won
We add together each Pro’s winnings from their eligible tournaments. Whoever finishes with the highest dollar total wins the matchup.
The number of cashes does NOT matter. Profit after buy-ins and re-entries does NOT matter.
PRO A
8 cashes totaling $22,000
PRO B
15 cashes totaling $18,000
PRO A WINS. More money won beats more cashes.
Re-entries
Pros can fire as many entries as they like in the same tournament. No matter how many times they enter, that event counts as one tournament played.
Tiebreaker
If the Pros finish tied in total tournament winnings, the matchup goes to the Pro with the highest single cash.
Don’t Hit 30?
If one Pro fails to play 30 eligible tournaments, that Pro is disqualified and their opponent wins. If both Pros fail to reach 30, both Pro lobbies are combined and everyone plays the $5,000 GTD tournament.
Pick Your Pro
Know who’s going to win? Back them for $33.
- Open the Poker client.
- Search for the Pro you want to back using the tournament search bar.
- Enter their Pick Your Pro lobby.
$33 BUY-IN | $5,000 GTD
One Pick for Each Matchup.
You may enter every Pick Your Pro matchup, but you can back only ONE Pro in each matchup.
Loncar or Boski. Kuhn or Moneymaker. Moorman or Foxen. Pick one and live with it.
Don’t Buy into Both Sides
The client might let you enter both lobbies. That does not make it legal.
If you enter both Pro lobbies in the same matchup, you will be disqualified from that matchup and cannot play the final tournament. One $33 entry will be refunded. The other will be forfeited, with $30 going to the applicable prize pool after rake.
THIS ISN’T HEDGING SEASON. CHOOSE A SIDE.
What Happens Next
Your Pro Wins
You’re in. Your Pro’s $5,000 GTD Pick Your Pro tournament takes place, with the $30 prize-pool contributions from the losing Pro’s lobby added to the prize pool.
If those contributions do not bring the prize pool to $5,000, Americas Cardroom covers the difference.
Your Pro Loses
You’re out. Your $33 entry is not refunded, and its $30 prize-pool contribution goes into the winning side’s tournament.
Final Tournaments
Sunday, October 4th | 4pm ET
The final $5,000 GTD Pick Your Pro tournaments are re-entry events.
For Example
Jeff Boski vs. Michael Loncar
You choose Jeff Boski and enter his $33 Pick Your Pro lobby. Boski finishes OSS XL with more total tournament winnings than Loncar and wins the matchup.
That puts you into the $5,000 GTD Jeff Boski tournament on Sunday, October 4th. The $30 prize-pool contributions from the Michael Loncar lobby are added to the prize pool.
Your read was right. The Loncar backers just made the prize pool bigger.
