The following rules are applicable to all online poker tournaments at Winning Poker Network.
Winning Poker Network provides a safe and secure environment for its players. Please review the rules below to familiarize yourself with correct conduct throughout tournament play.
1. Tournaments will begin at scheduled times displayed in the “Tournament Lobby”. Winning Poker Network reserves the right to cancel or delay a scheduled tournament without notice.
2. The details of every online poker tournament including duration of levels and blind structures will be displayed prominently in the Tournament Lobby. Winning Poker Network reserves the right to change these details at any time without notice.
3. No-limit tournaments do not have a restriction on the number of raises allowed. Our fixed limit tournaments have limited raises, which are capped at 3.
4. Each player is randomly assigned his or her seat. Winning Poker Network does not allow players to change seats during a tournament.
5. The prize payouts will be determined once all the rebuys, add-ons or re-entries have been completed and registration is closed. Prize pools may vary depending on the number of entrants and rebuys, re-entries and add-ons.
6. The use of multiple accounts for one person is prohibited and will not be tolerated.
7. Registration – Players may unregister for an online poker tournament and will receive a full refund prior to the start of the tournament. Once the tournament has begun players will not receive a refund on their buy-in unless the tournament is canceled. Tournament entries won in satellites may not be redeemed for cash.
8. If a player unregisters for an event, they will be credited with whatever currency they registered with.
9. In the event that 2 or more players are eliminated in one hand, the player with the most chips prior to the hand being dealt will be awarded the higher finishing rank. In the event of a tie, where both players have the same number of chips, the players tie for that rank and the prize pool is distributed equally.
10. A tournament guarantee is only honored if the tournament reaches the end of the late registration period.
11. When the tournament is 1 place out of the money and 1 place from final table, “hand for hand” play will begin. This allows every table to complete hands at the same time. This fairly determines the finishing order. Two players at different tables that are eliminated simultaneously will be considered “knocked out” at the same time. The finishing order will then be determined relative to their chip count prior to the hand.
12. No player receives the button twice in a row. In circumstances in which players are eliminated in the blinds the button will continue to move in a clockwise direction.
13. As players are eliminated throughout the tournament, tables will break and players will be reseated. This reseating is random. On occasion, players may be reseated in a blind they had just paid, but our online poker software tries to relocate players in seat positions similar to those they would’ve been seated in at their previous table.
14. Players will receive synchronized breaks throughout all tournaments at 55 minutes past the hour. Breaks last for 5 minutes and begin once all hands have been concluded.
15. Once a tournament has been entered, players assume the risk of internet issues and disconnection. Winning Poker Network accepts no responsibility for potential losses due to internet failure. Should a player become disconnected, they will still receive cards and pay blinds and antes. Players may voluntarily sit out during a tournament, but they will also continue to receive cards and pay the necessary blinds and antes.
16. No discussion of a hand is allowed while the hand is in play. Any discussion of play will result in a penalty or automatic expulsion from the tournament and possibly the Winning Poker Network permanently.
17. Players who register or play in a tournament must abide by the Security and Game Integrity Policy.
18. Claims for refunds of poker games older than 60 days will not be reviewed. Winning Poker Network imposes a time limit of 60 days for refund requests, after which the eligibility for a refund expires.
Tournament Cancellation Rules
1. Winning Poker Network reserves the right to reschedule major events with a prize pool of $1,000,000 or more or the Main Event of a tournament series should the tournament experience technical difficulties that cannot be resumed after 2 hours.
2. If the technical issue lasts longer than 2 hours, the tournament is canceled and refunded according to the following rules: “Note refunds can take from 24-72 hours.”
- In late registration – If a regular, turbo/hyper or rebuy and add-on multi-table tournament is in late registration and is canceled, all players will receive the following compensation (including players who have busted): tournament buy-ins, rebuys, re-entries and fees back. It will be as if the tournament had never been played.
- Running (after late registration has closed) – If a regular, turbo/hyper or rebuy and add-on multi-table tournament that is in a running state and not yet in the money is canceled, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that remain in the tournament will receive the following compensation: A. 1 buy-in plus fee back (no re-entries, no rebuys or add-ons). B. The remaining prize pool (all guarantees are honored) will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip count, for example, there are 100,000 chips in play, the prize pool is $100,000. Each chip is worth $1, you have 25,000 chips when the tournament is canceled. You will receive $25,000 of the remaining prize pool. *The maximum payout cannot exceed the 1st place prize.
- In the money – If a regular, turbo/hyper or rebuy and add-on multi-table tournament is in the money and is canceled; players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that remain in the tournament will receive the following compensation: A. All remaining players will receive the next minimum payout when the tournament is canceled. B. The remaining prize pool will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip count, for example:
There are 307,500 chips left in play and only 4 players left. After each player is awarded the ITM payout of $95, there will be $260 left in the prize pool to distribute to the remaining field as per chip count. This is worked out as:
$260 remaining prize pool ÷ Chips left in play = 0.000845. Therefore, each chip is worth this amount. We then take this amount and multiply it by a player’s chip count.
Player 1 – 152,205 x 0.000845 = $128.61 + $95, Player 1 will receive $223.61
Player 2 – 82,873 x 0.000845 = $70.03 + $95, Player 2 will receive $165.03
Player 3 – 45,500 x 0.000845 = $38.45 + $95, Player 3 will receive $133.45
Player 4 – 26,922 x 0.000845 = $22.75 + $95, Player 4 will receive $117.75
*The maximum payout cannot exceed the 1st place prize.
• Knockout tournaments in late registration – If a knockout multi-table tournament is in late registration and is canceled, all players will receive the following compensation:
- All players that have been eliminated will receive their buy in and fee but will not receive their bounty back.
For example, you are in a $10 KO tourney, $8 towards the prize pool and $2 towards your bounty with a $1 fee. Any player that has busted will receive the $8+$1 and will have lost their $2 bounty. - Players that still remain in the tournament will receive the full amount that they have paid for the tournament, buy in, bounty and fee.
- Any player that has been awarded the $2 for knocking out another player will keep this money.
• Knockout tournaments in running state (after late registration has closed) – If a knockout multi-table tournament that is in running state and not yet in the money is canceled, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that remain in the tournament will receive the following compensation: A. 1 buy in back (no re-entries, no rebuys or add-ons) and their own bounty and any bounties collected up to the time of cancellation. B. The remaining prize pool (all guarantees are honored) will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip count.
• Knockout tournaments in the money – If a knockout multi-table tournament that is in the money is canceled, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. Players that remain in the tournament will receive the following compensation: A. All remaining players will receive the keep the ITM payments received up to when the tournament is canceled and their own bounty. B. The remaining prize pool will be distributed on a percentage basis according to each player’s chip count. C. Any bounties collected up to the time of cancellation.
• Satellites in late registration – If a satellite is in late registration and is canceled, all players will receive the following compensation (including players who have busted): tournament buy-ins, rebuys, re-entries and fees back. It will be as if the satellite had never been played.
• Satellites in the money or running state – If a satellite is in a running state or in the money stage and is canceled, players that have been eliminated from the tournament will not receive any compensation for the tournament. All remaining players will receive the following compensation: The value of the seat will be turned into real money and will be divided evenly among all remaining players.
• SNGs will be refunded in two ways if they are canceled: A. If all the original players in the SNG remain (no players have busted out), all players will be refunded equally with their buy-in and fee. B. If one or more players have busted from the SNG, the prize pool will be divided amongst the players by chip count after receiving their buy in and fees back.
*The maximum payout cannot exceed the 1st place prize.
• Should any freeroll tournament be canceled while in late registration, ACR will not offer any form of player compensation. If the freeroll is canceled after late registration, the prize pool will be distributed via chip count to remaining players.
• Should any Freebuy tournament be canceled while in late registration, all rebuys will be refunded to players. Should the Freebuy be canceled after late registration, the prize pool will be distributed via chip count to remaining players.
Multi-Flight Tournament Refund Policies
1. Any tournament/satellite with multiple flights must have successfully completed the total amount of flights. ACR Poker will not honor the guarantee unless the required number of flights has successfully been completed and Day 2 is reached. ACR Poker reserves the right to continue the tournament as scheduled.
If we cancel a multiple flight event when players have made day 2 from previous flights, those players will be paid out the total prize pool from completed flights based on chip count.
2. If any individual flight is canceled while still in late registration, it will be as if the tournament had never played. All participating players (including those who have busted) will be refunded the following:
- Tournament buy-ins
- Any re-entries
- Fees
3. If any flight from a multi-flight tournament is canceled in running state, we will take the prize pool from that individual flight and refund the remaining players their buy-in and fee and then the remaining prize pool based on chip count.
4. You must make Day 2 to be in the money/win a seat in a multi-flight tourney. If for whatever reason there are more places paid or seats awarded in Day 2 than the number of players still in the tournament, we will turn the extra seats into their corresponding cash value and divide it evenly among the remaining players.
Example:
$1,000+$50 Multi-day Event
Day 1A: 40 entrants, play completes with 10 players advancing to day 2. Current prize pool: $40,000.
Day 1B: 50 entrants buy-in but then this flight is canceled during late registration. All 50 players of this flight will receive a full refund of their buy-ins, re-entries and fees (as stated in Term 2). (If Day 1B was canceled in a running state, the remaining players would receive their buy-in plus fee and the remaining prize pool distributed based on chip count.)
As Day 1B has been canceled and refunded, the entire multi-flight event will be canceled. Those remaining 10 players from DAY 1A (the flight that was completed) will be awarded the $40,000 prize pool distributed based on chip count after they receive their initial buy-in back. It will be divided in this order as follows:
- 10 remaining players receive their $1,000+$50 buy-in back
- 10 remaining players will then divide the remaining $29,500 based on chip count
Any players who were eliminated from the tournament in day 1A will receive no compensation.
In the Money
- In the money: If any multi-flight tournament is in the money and then cancelled, players that have been eliminated from the tournament before the cancellation will not receive any further compensation. Players that remain in the tournament will receive the following compensation:
- Remaining players will keep the ITM/ATM payments already received.
- The remaining prize pool will be distributed via chip count to remaining players.
- If the canceled tournament is a Progressive Knockout Tournament, players will keep the ITM/ATM payments already received along with their individual bounty.
- Players who reach Day 2 of a multiday event will no longer be able to register for another flight in the same multiday event.
- We reserve the right to add Flights as per our discretion to any multiflight event.
Should any dispute or situation arise, all decisions made by ACR Poker management are final.
