How Progressive Knockout Tournaments Work
When you enter a Progressive Knockout Tournament, we place a cash bounty on every player, including you. It’s a thrilling twist that adds another layer of excitement to the game.
In the Venom PKO, your $2500 buy-in is split evenly. We’ll put $1,250 into the total prize pool, and the other $1,250 becomes your initial bounty. This bounty is what makes you a target for other players – and what makes them targets for you.
Here’s where it gets interesting: When you knock someone out, you don’t just eliminate them from the tournament. You also claim half their bounty in cash that you keep no matter what. The other half gets added to your own bounty, making you an even more valuable target.
In the example above, if you knock someone out at the beginning of the tourney, you’ll get $625 of that bounty. The other $625 is now added to your head. So now, you’re marked with $1,875. If someone takes you out, they’ll get $937.50 and the other $937.50 gets added to their head. And as you might expect, these bounties can become massive, especially late in the game.
