Marquez got her start playing poker while studying at American University in Washington, DC.  She was so enamored with the game that she wrote her Bachelor’s thesis on the history of poker since the 1970s.  Today, Ana is making history wherever she brings her bankroll.

Marquez is no stranger to six-figure scores.  The Spaniard walked away with $445,000 after finishing third in the $10,000 Partypoker Live Millions Vegas No Limit Hold’em event held at the Aria Resort & Casino during the summer of 2019.  Ana also crushed a $2,500 No Limit Hold’em tourney at the 2013 Hollywood Poker Open and earned $320,189 for her first-place finish.  Marquez’s 10th place finish in the Main Event of the 2011 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure on Paradise Island was good for $155,000.

As much as Ana loves strategy and solving the puzzles that effectively make up the game of poker, getting better at the game is what’s most important to her.  She loves learning about life and how to become the best version of herself.
