From Sit & Go Sensation to Poker Pro: Michael Loncar's Path
Michael Loncar achieved significant success early in his online poker career, particularly excelling in Sit & Go tournaments. By 2010, he had already established himself as the most profitable online 6-Max Sit & Go player globally.
After Black Friday, Loncar chose to switch to live cash games instead of online poker. However, in 2014, he returned to tournament play after a six-year hiatus. His comeback proved to be highly successful, as Loncar emerged victorious in the 2014 Ante Up NorCal Classic Main Event, earning an impressive $37,835.
Although still focusing on cash games, Loncar entered tourneys occasionally and with success. He finished in 21st place at the 2015 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Main Event. In 2016 he returned to the Ante Up NorCal Classic, this time winning the event and a big $45,895.
Loncar joins Americas Cardroom in 2020
Loncar got on Americas Cardroom’s radar in January 2018 by winning the first Million Dollar Sunday event that year. He beat out a huge field of 3,854 players, ultimately taking home $138,563 after agreeing to a 3-way deal at the Final Table. Only two years later, in 2020, Loncar was invited to become an Americas Cardroom Pro.
