NBA title odds updated heading into Conference Finals

The final NBA conference semifinal game took place yesterday with the Boston Celtics defeating the Philadelphia 76ers in an exciting Game 7.

This was the only series last round to go the distance, but the Celtics are still the solid +107 favorite to win the title at the Americas Cardroom sportsbook.

Boston will play Miami (+1250) in the Eastern Conference Finals beginning Wednesday. The Celtics are a big -550 series favorite, with the Heat +416. This looks like a mismatch on paper with Miami being a No. 8 seed and dealing with injuries. However, this is arguably the most mentally tough team remaining in the playoffs and they do have a coaching advantage with Erik Spoelstra over first-year coach Joe Mazzulla.

The West Final is the more anticipated one with the Denver Nuggets (+237) facing the Los Angeles Lakers (+285). This will begin on Tuesday. Both teams played well last round, ending their series in six games. The Nuggets are the -157 series favorite with the Lakers +138. However, if big man Anthony Davis can outplay Nikola Jokic, then L.A. has enough firepower with LeBron James and company to pull off the upset.
