Connecticut Huskies big favorite to win March Madness

College basketball’s March Madness has been crazier than ever this year, with almost every bracket in the land being completely obliterated at this point. That’s what happens when only No. 1 or No. 2 seed even made it to the Elite Eight. That was No. 2 Texas who was upset 88-81 by Miami.

Now, we’re done to the Final Four which plays this Saturday night at NRG Stadium in Houston. The national title game will then be this Monday night in the same location.

As you can see below, No. 4 Connecticut is the big -128 favorite to win the national title. Not only are they the highest seed remaining, but most pundits thought they should have been higher-seeded from the beginning. And they’ve clearly played like a No. 1 seed all tourney, winning their four games by an average of 22.5 points, while easily going 4-0 ATS.

But before UConn can dream of winning their 5th title since 1999 and solidify their status as a “blue blood” program, they first need to get by No. 5 Miami as 5.5-point favorites. That is the second game on the docket after upstart No. 9 seed Florida Atlantic takes on No. 5 San Diego State as 2-point ‘dogs. Note the scoring on that game (132.5 total) is predicted to be much lower than UConn/Miami (150.5 total).

NCAA title odds:

1. Connecticut Huskies (-128) – No. 4
2. San Diego State Aztec (+425) – No. 5
3. Miami Hurricanes (+450) – No. 5
4. Florida Atlantic Owls (+570) – No. 9

Finals Four Betting Odds – Saturday, April 1st

No. 9 Florida Atlantic Owls (+2) vs. No. 5 San Diego State – 6:09pm ET
No. 5 Miami Hurricanes (+5.5) vs. No. 4 UConn – 8:49pm ET
