Eagles favored in early Super Bowl odds

The NFL Super Bowl 57 matchup is set and it’s a couple of No. 1 seeds in the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

This game is being played on Sunday, February 12^th (6:30pm ET) at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Remember, the winner of the last two Super Bowls (Tampa Bay and L.A. Rams) played the game on their homefields.

Philadelphia is a 1-point favorite at the Americas Cardroom sportsbook with a total of 50. And if you prefer moneyline wagering, the Eagles are -115 and Kansas City is -105.

Philly is 16-1 this year when quarterback Jalen Hurts has played. His sprained throwing shoulder still looks less than 100% as he threw for just 121 yards against San Francisco last week. The Eagles still cruised to a 31-7 victory in that game, but were fortunate that 49ers’ rookie quarterback Brock Purdy suffered an elbow injury.

Kansas City was lucky to survive 23-20 in the AFC Title Game against Cincy last week with some questionable officiating. They will need to play a lot better in the Super bowl as most consider Philly to be the better overall team.

This is Kansas City’s third Super Bowl appearance in four years (winning one) and Patrick Mahomes is an advantage at the quarterback position. It will be interesting to see how his sprained ankle improves over the two weeks, plus the Chiefs have other injury concerns as well.
