Sunday Recap: Not a typical Sunday at Americas Cardroom

Yesterday was anything but a regular Sunday at Americas Cardroom. We had Day 1B of the $5 Million Venom PKO, plus we awarded five packages to the WSOP in Vegas. That was on top of our regular huge slate of tourneys.

WSOP Takedown Tournament – 5 Packages GTD

We guaranteed five $12,500 packages to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas yesterday and awarded five. Each player gets $10,000 for the WSOP Main Event buy-in plus another $2,500 for travel expenses. They can also choose to just keep the cash. Congrats to yesterday’s WSOP Takedown promo winners:

$1,000,000 GTD Million Dollar Sunday

Our weekly Million Dollar Sunday ($215 buy-in) had 4,826 total entrants for Day 2 yesterday. Each qualified through one of the 35 Day 1 flights, which meant the final prize pool had a $34,800 overlay. Congrats to the 540 players who got paid, including the top-3.

Sunday High Roller $500,000 GTD

Our new Sunday High Roller $500,000 GTD tourney has a $630 buy-in and starts at noon ET. When it was all said and done, there were 1,145 entries, which put the final prize pool at $687,000. Top 3 after a final table deal:

$250,000 GTD Sunday Special

The $250,000 GTD Sunday Special ($215 buy-in) was extra special yesterday with 1,533 entries. That put the final prize pool at $306,600. Here’s the top-3 after a final table deal:

$200,000 GTD

254 players participated in Sunday’s $200K GTD tourney, having no problem ponying up the big $1,050 buy-in. That meant the final prize pool reached $254,000. The top 3:
