Nevada casinos set another revenue record in November

Nevada casinos have seen several billion-dollar months in 2021

Seeing Nevada casinos break records in terms of monthly revenue is becoming a trend. Perhaps for many, this is no longer surprising, but having a key player such as Las Vegas in the casino industry is undoubtedly a strong reason to leave more than one perplexed every time revenues are announced. For the ninth consecutive month, November continues to be part of a record streak where the state reports more than $1 billion from gamblers, the Nevada Gaming Control Board said yesterday.

November was no exception to anything else that has been done over the past nearly ten months, as gaming properties across Nevada posted win revenues of more than $1.32 billion. This only barely trails October ($1.22 billion) and is near the all-time record set in July ($1.36 billion). More than half of this figure came from the Sin City Strip, where gaming revenue topped $755 million. That was more than double the same period in 2020.

Overall, Clark County casinos were able to put a $1.16 billion profit on their books last month. Nevada clearly benefited, as well, collecting just over $93 million in percentage fees based on taxable revenues generated in November.

Nevada, along with its star player, Las Vegas, continues to perform greatly when it comes to industry revenue. The streak comes as a breath of hope after the miserable months of 2020, when the pandemic caused many restrictions to take place that prevented operations from running at 100%, causing revenues to not be as resounding as they are right now.
