Quarterbacks in the spotlight in NFL Player Props
By Bob Garcia
Here at the Big Blind Blog, we do a great job (if we do say so ourselves) of keeping you up to date on the weekly NFL game lines and future odds.
However, there is another set of odds that we don’t focus on as much. It’s the NFL Player Props. If you go to the Americas Cardroom sportsbook right now, you will see a bunch of different quarterbacks you can wager on based on their passing yards for Week 11.
For example, last night New England’s Mac Jones (-120) was the small favorite over Atlanta’s Matt Ryan (-110) for Most Passing Yards. New England ended up winning the game 25-0 and the rookie Jones had more passing yards (207) than the veteran Ryan (153).
One of the best things about these props is that the two quarterbacks don’t even need to play each other. For example, Tom Brady is -125 in the future Hall of Famer matchup against Aaron Rodgers (-105). Tampa Bay hosts the NY Giants on MNF, while Green Bay visits Minnesota. Rodgers is dealing with a toe injury but says he’s definitely playing.
Brady leads the NFL in passing yards per game (318.9) but he’s coming off his second-lowest output (220) of the season in a loss at Washington. Rodgers is averaging 242.9 YPG this year but had 292 last week in a home win against Seattle.
