Part of the preparation for a major event in the world of eSports is partnerships. Team Liquid, the multinational eSports organization, knows that creating relevant events has to be done in the best way, so it decided to enter into an agreement with tire manufacturer Hercules Tires.
The partnership between Team Liquid and Hercules Tires will be carried out in order to create the Hercules Tires Invitational Series, a Rocket League tournament that will have the participation of North American teams. The event will include a total of 16 North American Rocket League teams, which will compete against each other in a two-part tournament starting in exactly one week’s time. The list of participants includes big names such as Charlotte Phoenix, G2 Esports, Torrent, Oxygen Esports and XSET.
“We’re excited to bring this event to life with Hercules, a legacy brand known for its quality and reliability,” commented Steve Reed, Team Liquid sales VP. “They are a natural fit for this series, where speed and precision can make a real difference in how things play out.”
Team Liquid’s channel will be carrying all the details of this event through its live stream, and it is expected that the winners can walk away with approximately $12,000 in prizes. According to the press release, Hercules Tires will also hold raffles for chat boxes and a virtual tailgate.
“Our partnership with Team Liquid will further the progress we are making to expand our brand in authentic and meaningful ways across new platforms,” explained Senior VP of Hercules, Joshua Simpson. “It also showcases our commitment to engage new consumers – including a new generation that participate in gaming as a form of competition – and to build relationships through a digitally-focused platform.”
There is no doubt that a sponsor like Hercules Tires is ideal for a Rocket League tournament, where one of the things that stand out the most are the big tires that the vehicles have. It’s always good to see the industry filling up with non-endemic brands, especially automotive brands that in recent times have been embracing the scene through a variety of partnerships.
