Among Us coming to PlayStation, Xbox in December

The mobile video game is coming to consoles by the end of the year

It didn’t take long for Among Us, the space sabotage simulator, to gain popularity on mobile devices. After its release, people started playing it relentlessly, looking for who was lying. It seems that the game now wants to translate its fame to the big leagues, as it is expected to finally be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox X Series later this year. It was also said that Xbox Game Pass would open its doors to the game on its fast-growing roster, which would allow gamers to play Among Us on different platforms.

According to plans announced via individual blog posts by developer Innersloth on the Xbox and PlayStation blogs, players on these consoles will be able to enjoy the game from December 14. In the case of PlayStation, the release mentions an exclusive Ratchet & Clank cosmetic coming to the game in the future. In addition, the PS blog post clarified that cross-play will have support for multiplayer lobbies with four to 15 players. It was said that cross-platform play will be an additional feature, which will give players the opportunity to play between Xbox, PS, Nintendo Switch, PC, Android and iOS.

The Innersloth blog also provided some details regarding physical copies of the game, including two different special editions. The standard game was called Crewmate Edition, which costs $30. Also, the release date will depend on the region, with the UK and Europe being the first to get a chance to try the game on December 14, followed by Japan and South Korea, and then the US, Canada and Latin America, with a release on December 16 and January 11, 2022, respectively.
