Updated odds as the NFL starts tomorrow night
By Bob Garcia
Are you ready for some football? The NFL is finally back for real tomorrow night (Thursday) as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers start their quest to repeat when they host the Dallas Cowboys.
The Americas Cardroom sportsbook first released Week 1 odds back in mid-May and Tampa Bay was a 6.5-point favorite. That number jumped up to 7.5 when we wrote an updated article last week.
And as you can see from the updated Week 1 odds below, the Bucs are now an 8-point favorite. The two big items that have caused the spread to change are that Dallas’ quarterback Dak Prescott has not played at all this preseason after recovering from a shoulder injury. He will play Thursday, but star offensive guard Zack Martin (Covid) is very likely out.
Note the Green Bay and New Orleans game has been moved to Jacksonville, Florida due to Hurricane Ida.
