A user on Dealabs reportedly got the inside scoop on some titles coming next month
In recent times it is no longer even necessary to wait for Sony’s official announcements to know which games will be presented by the company in the near future. Nowadays, there are several sources that have become reliable over time to acquire information well ahead of time. The October PlayStation Plus games were scheduled to be shared in the next few days; however, their names have already been revealed.
User Billbill-Kun on Dealabs had already hit on his leak of PS Plus games last month and again took it upon himself to share the same information ahead of the official unveiling. According to the user, October’s free titles will be PGA Tour 2K21 and Mortal Kombat, both for PS4, while the PS5 platform will welcome Hell Let Loose. According to the site, its moderators have submitted and verified proof of the leak. If Sony’s schedule is anything to go by, we would expect this information to be officially revealed in the next few days, even this week as October is just around the corner.
Sony indicated last month that it has no major concerns about the decline in PlayStation Plus subscribers and the number of monthly active users. According to results for the quarter ending June 30, Sony reported a total of 46.3 million PS Plus subscribers, which translates to an increase of 1.3 million year-over-year, but still a decrease of more than one million compared to the two most recent quarters.
“Of course, 104 million is not a strong number, but are we looking at it as a declining trend? We don’t think so,” commented Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki, who blamed the decline on last year’s stay-at-home restrictions and the increase in gaming activity. “We are trying to analyze different elements, but there are no conspicuous trends that we can capture. Maybe this month or next month, we will have to continue to watch and do an analysis.”
