Still no Week 1 point spread for Aaron Rodgers, Packers
By Bob Garcia
The saga between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers continues and there’s no end in sight. Green Bay had their optional OTAs last week and Rodgers was a no-show. That isn’t too alarming as many veterans from the Pack and the rest of the league decided to skip those practices.
More alarming is the fact that Rodgers is seemingly dug into his position and doesn’t want to play for Green Bay without major changes in the organization. Conversely, the team has said they have absolutely no plans to trade him.
The fallout of the Rodgers situation can also be seen in the updated Week 1 odds at the Americas Cardroom sportsbook. The Green Bay at New Orleans game is the only one without a point spread. There’s also no odds available for the NFC North division right now.
The Packers do have future odds available to win the NFC Conference (+865) as well as the Super Bowl (+2016). To see the rest of the sportsbook, click on ‘Sports’ in the poker client.
