Century Casinos, Inc., which trades on Nasdaq Capital Market under CNTY, has announced that its subsidiary Casinos Poland Ltd. has reopened its eight casinos located in Poland today, all of which feature poker games.
Live gambling establishments in Poland were shut down on March 19th to help stop the spread of COVID-19. With the reopening of the casinos, social distancing practices and enhanced safety protocols will be implemented.
“We look forward to welcoming our guests and team members back to our Polish casinos,” commented Erwin Haitzmann and Peter Hoetzinger, Co-Chief Executive Officers of Century Casinos. “This is a very important step to lead our Company back to normal operations in Poland.”
Century Casinos operates a number of casinos around the world, including many properties with large poker rooms. A list of its properties outside of Poland include:
• Century Casino & Hotels in Cripple Creek and Central City, Colorado, and in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
• Century Casino in Cape Girardeau and Caruthersville, Missouri, and in St. Albert, Alberta, Canada
• Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in New Cumberland, West Virginia
• Century Mile Racetrack and Casino (“CMR”) in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
Century’s US casinos and poker rooms are open, however its properties in Canada remain closed.
