The NFL Draft is today and the odds are updated

Today is Christmas Day! If you just checked your calendar and saw it was April, then you are probably a little confused.

Well, today is Christmas Day for football fans as the NFL Draft gets underway at 8pm ET. The dreams of 32 young men will be made tonight in Round 1 and also for many bettors who have put a little dough on the action.

We’ve been previewing draft odds at the Americas Cardroom sportsbook for the last few weeks, and now here’s a final rundown.

Trevor Lawrence is the very heavy -20000 favorite to be taken first overall by Jacksonville. Zach Wilson is also a big -5000 favorite to be taken No. 2 by the Jets. Things do get more interesting at No. 3 with San Francisco. Mac Jones is the -354 favorite, followed by Trey Lance (-139) and Justin Fields (+501).

Three other draft props are the first running back taken (Najee Harris -250 favorite), first wide receiver taken (Ja’Marr Chase -1300 favorite) and first defensive player taken (Patrick Surtain -142 favorite). I believe there is value in the last one, as either Jaycee Horn (+165) or Micah Parsons (+366) could surprise and go before Surtain.

Switching over to the NFL Draft Matchups section, you can choose between two players and who will be selected first. For example, Alabama wide receiver Jaylen Waddle is -276 in a heads-up matchup against his former teammate, DeVonta Smith (+212).

If you are interested in betting on Draft Position, we have you covered there as well. For example, Lance has his Over / Under as the 6.5th pick. The Under is -165 and the Over is +130.

Finally, there are odds for each team on whether they choose an Offensive or Defensive player first.
