The annual eSports awards program gets a makeover as popularity increases
The power of a fresh new look should always be important in industries that continue to gain in popularity, such as eSports this time around. The creators of the Esports Awards seem to be well aware of this, which is why they recently decided to unveil a new look during their recent Spotlight Show, where they also provided details about the plans they have for the 2021 awards. It seems that the main goal is to please the community and give due recognition to every corner of the industry, which is why a new selection of new awards was presented for the Esports Awards 2021.
In order to recognize those who deliver the most creative productions, the new awards for 2021 include Esports Broadcast / Production Team of the Year. There is also the Esports Creative of the Year, which gives priority to people who showcase innovative design philosophies, and while the teams behind some of the best content would most likely be nominated in the Esports Video Production of the Year category.
The eSports Console Rookie of the Year and eSports Console Player of the Year will also undergo some minor adjustments, as they will now be called eSports Controller Rookie of the Year and eSports Controller Player of the Year, in order to give a higher priority to all those titles that have greater participation on PC, for streaming weekends, but still have their respective play with a controller.
Nominations opened on March 31 and many finalists will be determined throughout the year. The Esports Awards 2021 ceremony will be presented at the end of this year.
