The Pacific Championship Spring Split comes to an end after PSG defeats Beyond Gaming
PSG Talon’s redundant victory over Beyond Gaming (3-0) led them to be crowned champions of the Pacific Championship Spring Split final yesterday. As a result, the eSports team now takes home another regional title and the much-desired pass to represent their region at the Mid-Season Invitational next month.
No one was surprised with this victory since PSG has only lost one game in the entire regular split and playoffs. This series was not just a clean sweep, but PSG showed no mercy, claiming the enemy’s Nexus before it reached any kind of target, such as Dragon Soul on this occasion.
Maple, the team’s new star mid laner, definitely put on a great show for all his fans during the first game. In his signature Azir pick, the player had a constant advance in his lane, giving him the opportunity to roam around the map without any problems and find the perfect ambush opportunities. Once this early advantage was in their hands, the rest of the series was very bearable for the team, where security and confidence were key pieces for the victory.
PSG will now have a two-week break, which they will use to prepare in the best way possible before the competition begins in Reykjavik, Iceland, in early May. This event will be based on a round-robin format and will pit teams such as the Istanbul Wild Cats from Turkey. Mad Lions from Europe and the winner of the final between Prodigy and pAIN from Brazil in Group B.
