The iconic rock band is giving fans a new way to be entertained
Gameloft is now bringing a lot of joy for those who are fans of the rock band Queen and who also like to have some fun playing video games. The beloved band is teaming up with the gaming developer company in order to release its first-ever mobile gaming app, called “Queen: Rock Tour.”
All users of Android and iOS devices can now find this tap-along rhythm gaming app in their respective app stores. The gameplay format has a strong relation to the one from Rock Band or the popular Guitar Hero. The launch was done over the weekend and the app is free for everyone.
Every user that downloads the app will have the chance to perform up to a total of 20 of Queen’s songs, and there was no member left behind, which means that Freddie Mercury has also been included. The players will also have the chance to choose any of the ten real-world venues to perform their favorite songs, and, according to reports, band member costumes along with exclusive imagery from the band’s official archives are going to be available. However, the gamer will need to put some effort first, as they need to be unlocked.
In a statement to social media, Queen posted, “Become a rock legend with Queen, as you tap to the rhythm of Queen’s most iconic songs with Freddie, Brian, Roger & John and relive the greatest moments of the band.” Cedric Ratajczak, Gameloft’s creative director, added, “We devoted enormous attention to the details of Queen’s history, authenticity and artistry to craft a fitting tribute to one of the most significant bands in rock history.”
