The Wilton Rancheria Resort and Casino is now going to move forward
A new gambling expansion may be arriving at Elk Grove very soon since the construction of a new casino facility near the city has now received a green light as tribal leaders say they’ve finally secured funding.
Work had been delayed as it was supposed to start almost a year ago; however, it’s been recently stated by the people in charge that they have a new ceremony in the works. The site for Wilton Rancheria Resort and Casino is meant to be located on 35 acres at Highway 99 and Kammerer Road. On Friday, Wilton Rancheria Office of the Chair and Tribal Council said in a letter, “This historic accomplishment results from over a decade of intensive research, communication, and relationship building with the City of Elk Grove and our Development Partner, Boyd Gaming. As part of this financing, we are also proud to announce that a Ground-Breaking ceremony is under development and will be announced in the coming days.”
With this project, many residents that are currently unemployed might have a big opportunity since 1,600 construction jobs will be created as well as 300 direct and indirect jobs and around 1,750 full-time positions, according to Wilton Rancheria.
When it comes to the site itself, several amenities are going to be included, such as a movie theater, a pool, numerous restaurants, retails shops, and more. People looking to stay at the resort will have plenty of availability, as it will also have over 300 suites and rooms.
