Game odds released for Monday’s 2nd round

By Bob Garcia

Monday is of course the start of the work week, but today is not just a regular Monday. Due to the unique schedule of March Madness this year, we have eight college hoop games. At the end of the day, all the Sweet Sixteen participants will be set.
The Americas Cardroom sportsbook has all the odds listed below. And there is an interesting phenomenon with five of the eight games having a spread of 5 of 5.5. That includes No. 1 seed Michigan just a 5-point favorite over No. 8 LSU. This Big Ten has taken a beating in the tourney so far, so that could be having an effect on more bettors taking LSU.
Gonzaga is not surprisingly the biggest favorite of the day, giving 14.5 points to No. 8 Oklahoma. The Zags are the solid favorite overall in the tournament and certainly looked like it in their first game, a 98-55 win over Norfolk State.
The smallest spread of the day is No. 4 Florida State (-1.5) vs. No. 5 Colorado. An interesting matchup of double-digit seeds has No. 11 UCLA (-5) vs. No. 14 Abilene Christian. The latter had a 53-52 upset of No. 3 seed Texas in Round 1.
Here’s all the Monday game odds (all times ET):
No. 2 Iowa (-5) vs. No. 7 Oregon – 12:10 PM
No. 1 Gonzaga (-14.5) vs. No. 8 Oklahoma – 2:40 PM
No. 11 UCLA (-5) vs. No. 14 Abilene Christian – 5:15 PM
No. 5 Creighton (-5) vs. No. 13 Ohio – 6:10 PM
No. 1 Michigan (-5) vs. No. 8 LSU – 7:10 PM
No. 4 Florida State (-1.5) vs. No. 5 Colorado – 7:45 PM
No. 2 Alabama (-5.5) vs No. 10 Maryland – 8:45 PM
