The new channel is dedicated to everything gaming
For the fans who enjoy following eSports competitions, a television network announced that it will launch a new channel that will be centered around video games. The Video Game Entertainment & News Network (VENN) kicked off on Wednesday at about 2:30 PM EST, and fans can watch the content through VENN.tv website, Twitter, Twitch, YouTube or Facebook. There is a wide selection of programs for video game and eSports fans to enjoy, including a daily variety show called VENN Arcade Live.
There are other programs that are already scheduled to be showcased like an afternoon interactive show, Guest House and The Download, a daily gaming, pop culture and tech news show that will have Erin Ashley Simon as the host and Matt Morello as the commentator. It will also include actor and musician Jimmy Wong, who had a role in Mulan. VENN has the goal of covering “the intersection of culture, entertainment, esports and gaming,” explained Simon in a promotional video posted on Twitter. But the network also shows that gamers “come in so many different shapes and forms we have so many different passions. And more importantly we are able to be ourselves. VENN is about uplifting and empowering content creators and gamers and talent and allowing us to be us.”
VENN is also available on other streaming platforms, such as Vizio SmartCast, Xumo, STIRR and Distro TV. The shows can be watched live, but viewers also have the option to go to the VENN.tv website to see the schedule and even watch episodes on demand from the site.
