New Orleans Saints wide receiver becomes latest to make it to the NFL Network’s top 100 list
The Saints have seen a lot of their players make it to the top 100 this year
As the NFL reveals more names of the top 100 players of the league, another player from the New Orleans Saints has been included, but this time among the top ten places. Wide receiver Michael Thomas came out in fifth place on the list, according to the final data revealed on Wednesday night. This is the third time that Thomas makes it to the list; however, it’s the first time he makes it to the top ten places.
This placement comes as no surprise, as Thomas was already considered one of the best wide receivers in the league.
He set the NFL receiving record of 149 receptions for 1,75 yards and a total of nine touchdowns during this past season. The total receiving yards are ranked among the seven-highest number in NFL records. Another win is his record with the Saints of ten games of 100 yards or more. He was already selected as a Pro Bowl starter for the second season in a row and, in addition, he was named Associated Press NFL Offensive Player of the Year and the Committee of 101 NFC Offensive Player of the Year.
Thomas is not the only Saints player on this list. He now joins Drew Brees, who appeared on the list at No. 12, Cameron Jordan at No. 23, Alvin Kamara at No. 42, Demario Davis at No. 67, Marshon Lattimore at No. 76 and Ryan Ramczyk who appeared at No. 82. With this strong a group, provided the season can move forward, the Saints are in great shape to make it to the Super Bowl.
