Team Secret sweeps BEYOND EPIC for sixth straight title

The eSports organization provides an incredible show at Dota 2

It must feel good to be a Team Secret fan these days; the European Dota 2 eSports team just conquered its sixth straight title at BEYOND EPIC. Yesterday, the team crushed 3-0 Nigma, although it was not the cleanest win for Secret. But, Puppey and his team managed to bounce back from an early setback and got into the final with the sole intention of running over Nigma.

Team Secret stayed true to its game tactics, even though they surprisingly lost against Team Liquid during the first round. The team did not make changes to their tactics at all because they preferred relying on their usual controlled approach used to expose the opponent’s weaknesses. Once the team was in the lower bracket, it seemed it had the mission of destroying any team they had in front, including sweet revenge against Liquid in the lower bracket finals.

The final match was not at all easy for Secret; Nigma made sure to give its best against one of its oldest rivals. Starting with an incredible 11/2/11 performance from Nisha’s Morphling, Secret found a way to reach victory. Both Nisha and MATUMBAMAN were responsible for a combined 100,000 hero damage as Secret took control of the series.

Zai was another player who stepped up in game two helping Secret showing its dominance. The team had Nigma blocked from surging for over an hour. Adding Zai’s 81,200 in damage, the team registered them for 200,000 in combined damage in just one single game.

The European region is considered to date the strongest region for Dota eSports. This was not only the team’s sixth title, but it is also the sixth time they crushed another top team in the league during the finals.
