Something new is coming to Call of Duty’s Warzone today

The video game is reportedly receiving an unexpected upgrade today
The Call of Duty app has been teasing its fans since yesterday when it announced that something is about to happen in the Call of Duty: Warzone video game today, if the app’s notification is any indication. According to CharlieIntel, yesterday afternoon, there was a faux piece of intel sent out to those who had the app installed on their phones. Besides announcing that something will happen in the game today, it also mentioned some intercepted communication.
“On 19 May at 2337 ZULU, Coalition SIGINT intercepted flash traffic from AQ regional command outside Verdansk,” the message says. “Message calls for a priority IP call with an unknown. Suspected recipient is TARGET DENVER. Timing of meeting unknown—suspected for 21 MAY. Location to be confirmed. Surveillance activity has been authorized. MAINTAIN VIGILANCE ON COMMS FOR LOCATION OF ENEMY SURVEILLANCE.”
Based on this message and the fact that the game has been revealing newly-opened bunkers and a hidden nuclear warhead, Warzone seems to be integrating some in-game treasures mixed with an alternate reality game outside of it. According to a report from yesterday, this hidden nuke that was found in Verdansk’s bunkers will cause significant changes in the map, which resembles Fortnite’s events that once shaped not only the future of the map but the game itself.
Hopefully, everything becomes clearer today. Call of Duty: Warzone was launched just a couple of months ago and it has had massive success. This battle royale game can be either accessed from the Modern Warfare game or a standalone copy can be downloaded from the store.
