Three (More) 1H Datasets – NBA Picks, Odds, and Predictions
In NBA betting, the basketball gods giveth and the basketball gods taketh away, and unfortunately, yesterday was the latter, with our first-half datasets going 0-3 on the day. Thankfully, today the universe has provided us with an opportunity to wash away those losses with three more first-half datasets in profitable situations, so let’s take a look at those as we attempt to run it back and flip the numbers in our favor.
Memphis Grizzlies at Philadelphia 76ers
Today all three games fall under the same first-half dataset looking at playoff teams playing the second half of a back-to-back that’s gone 73-42-6 so far this season, good for an impressive 24% ROI. Up first are the Philadelphia 76ers, who have gone undefeated under the dataset at 6-0-2 and will be facing off against a Memphis team that’s gone winless, allowing their opponents a 2-0-1 record in this situations so far this year. Together the two teams have combined for an 8-0-3 record, good for +5 units.
Houston Rockets at Phoenix Suns
With one successful small-ball game in their pockets after a big win against the Los Angeles Lakers last night, even with their superstar James Harden having a subpar game, the Houston Rockets will have their first opportunity to prove they can survive the rigors of a back-to-back without a big man to plug the lane and give their guards and wings a breather. Fortunately for Houston, their opponents in this one – the Phoenix Suns – are the single most profitable team to oppose under this dataset – allowing their opponents to go a perfect 4-0 so far this season.
Portland Trailblazers at Utah Jazz
Finally, Logo Lillard and co. will be heading into Utah trying to secure a W after blowing it in the final seconds of the first half last night before coming back and beating the San Antonio Spurs at home. And while this matchup presents a much steeper test with it being on the road against a much better team, Portland has gone 5-3 under the dataset this season while the Jazz has allowed their opponents to go 3-3, which has actually translated into a 69% ROI thanks to the plus-odds afforded. Nice.
So whether you want to take a shot at playing all three, or just pick your favorite one to rid with, make sure to practice good bankroll management and never risk more than you can afford to lose. Good luck!
