Riot Games has begun dropping hints about new competitive shooter game
A new team-based first-person shooter game is coming to consoles soon
Video game publishers like to keep their gamers engaged by releasing details about upcoming games in bits and pieces. Riot Games just gave enough to increase the expectation for an upcoming game, a new team-based shooter video game dubbed Project A that apparently will have a “character-based” focus. One of the former Counter-Strike pro players, Henry Greer, was invited to try out the game and has given his insight.
According to Greer, the game has a similar feel as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive; however, it has included other elements that are found in other games like Overwatch. Even though there is heavy weaponry involved and a lot of defense from bombs is necessary, each character will have specific abilities and they need to be purchased and the very first round. It will also come with maps similar to the ones found in Counter-Strike with chokepoints and lanes.
Greer also added that the felt “super slick and satisfying,” and it comes with a good weapon selection that will motivate different types of game styles. After skipping purchases, nice gear can be purchased, as well, in this game, just like in Counter-Strike, and the game can still be played well with weapons even if making an investment in abilities is not an option.
A word of caution, though regarding early trials of the game, the ultimate experience might end up varying a little bit. Greer’s assessment of the game is a great way to find more about the game details and get become excited, or lose interest.
