Pokémon Home coming to Nintendo Switch and mobile devices
Pokémon fans will soon find more options to catch them all
Any true Pokémon fan most likely has a collection of all games ever released to the market, and, with the new Pokémon Bank update, all those games can connect with the newest game, Pokémon Home. The game is now available for all regions, as well as Pokémon Bank, to engage playing any game from previous generations all in the same game console. The best part is that it will also be available as a mobile version, though it has a few limitations compared to the Switch app.
Even though it will be available for all regions, the rollout will be done slowly as Nintendo and Game Freak expect high traffic in the servers. This means that the early transfer of games will be a bit delayed. The Home app is available now to download from the Switch eShop and, as long as players are registered with Galar Pokédex, the process of transferring Pokemon from older games into Pokémon Sword and Shield can be done. This will expand enormously the abilities and moves of the more than 400 Pokémon that are available in the game. Eventually, the Expansion Pass will be offering more Pokémon as the time goes.
The mobile app will have many features, but others, such as moving Pokémon from Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Eevee! or move them from Sword and Shield, won’t be available. These restrictions will stay on until the servers can take the load, which could be a while from now because there are already a lot of players waiting for the transfer window.
