Evil Geniuses are ready to represent North America at the ESL One Los Angeles Major
North America is close to becoming a winner in eSports once again
The ESL One Los Angeles Major is just around the corner and this will be the first time in two years that a North American (NA) Dota 2 team will take place. This puts extra pressure on the local teams to perform at their best during the upcoming competition, Evil Geniuses (EG) being one of them. This is most likely the biggest threat coming from the NA teams and EG wants to improve that second place they got at the DreamLeague Season 13. EG wants to finally get the championship title for the Dota Pro Circuit Major.
In a recent twitter post, the organization said, “Our Dota team pulls out the second win and qualifies for #ESLOne LA! GGs to @ChaosEC..We’re proud of the team’s performance this weekend, and now they have a little bit of downtime before their Bootcamp for the major next month!”
They seem to be ready, and, after this very strong season, the team’s performance has paid off with finishes in at least the fourth place in every tournament that was played. Currently, the only other team representing real competition to EG was Chaos Esports Club, in terms of moving along the group stage. Both teams had quite aggressive and competitive sessions. The roster’s Tal “Fly” Aizik, along with the organization, said they are ready to compete. That doesn’t mean the preparation will stop and, even during the qualifiers, only one single game was dropped.
EG is going to be a favorite as the Major gets underway, partly due to the departure of Vici Gaming from the field.
The matches will begin on March 15 and another NA representative is still to be determined.
