New Orleans Saints wide receiver still at the top of Pro Bowl voting list
Michael Thomas has had an incredible season as the Saints are heading toward the playoffs
To continue the warmup towards this season’s playoffs, the NFL just updated a limited Pro Bowl voting leaderboard yesterday. The New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas continues to lead and even jumped one spot higher, as he is now in the seventh position in overall votes this week. Given his on-field prowess and talent, it’s no surprise.
Thomas is currently racing another competition right now as he is on a good pace to set a new record on the NFL as the most receptions in a single season. This possible record is also turning some media eyes towards him, considering a strong candidate for MVP this year. So far in the league, he has accumulated 110 receptions in 2019.
The Saints are doing a great job this season and, so far besides Thomas, 11 other players are currently in the top five for their position starting with Terron Armstead (No. 2), returner Deonte Harris (No. 3), punter Thomas Morstead (No. 2), defensive end Cameron Jordan (No. 3), kicker Wil Lutz (No. 3), cornerback Marshon Lattimore (No. 5), strong safety Vonn Bell (No. 3), free safety Marcus Williams (No. 4), fullback Zach Line (No. 5) and tackle Ryan Ramczyk (No. 5).
Pro Bowl fan voting is presented by Verizon and it is still online and available for fans to vote for the 2020 dream team either from a computer or from a smartphone through the web-enabled site. Saint fans can vote until December 12 at NFL.com/ProBowlVote.
