NBA player becomes NHL player in latest video game
Kyke Lowry of the NBA’s Raptors suits up for
Although combining athletes from one sport into another one hasn’t always given the best results, in this video game a new swag is being enjoyed by the fans. Now the Toronto Raptors’ Kyle Lowry and the NHL will be sharing some common tastes in the NHL20 game. A fun in-game feature will allow using basketball stars from the NBA to join their NHL teams and Kyle “KLow” Lowry is now left wondering if he is a good-enough Canadian to wear such an outfit.
On the EA Sports website at the NHL20 section, wearing the original color of the Raptors franchise, KLow’s gear comes to bring out his most Canadian site by wearing his classic Maple Syrup along with the purple. “This collab throws back to the classic purple, showing deep respect for the city of Toronto. Get the SYRUP SHACK Adidas gear in-game and play with Lowry in ONES NOW,” said a poster on the site. This is the first time Lowry is appearing in a game that is not his original sport, but among citizens of Toronto and Canada, this is definitely a trendy topic.
Probably Lowry is enjoying this feature as much as the fans since he tweeted a promo video with him as the character of the NHL20 last Thursday afternoon, “Does this officially make me Canadian?” The greatest part was all of the kind, sweet answers from the fans. “You were already Canadian enough for us before this is just icing on the cake” and “It’s safe to say you’ve been officially Canadian for a long time now!!,” were just a couple of the many answers he received. It’s clear that Canadians and hockey make a great mix, but after helping take the NBA championship to Canada for the first time, apparently for fans it was enough for him to be considered 100% Canadian.
