Louisiana State Poker Championship to be held this weekend
The series will run for nine days
The Louisiana State Poker Championship is coming soon and it’s bringing four bracelets for the players to take home. Starting November 9 through November 17 the event will take place at the Isle of Capri Casino & Hotel with a variety of events mostly no-limit hold-em (NLH), including one event for females and elder citizens. To have an idea, during these eight days there will be at least nine of them with buy-ins starting at $150.
Next Monday at 3 pm, for those ladies that would rather play with the same gender, an event will take place that’s for women with only a $155 buy-in. On the other side on Wednesday of next week, another particular event will take place to benefit a different group of people. At 12 noon the $235 buy-in event will begin specifically for seniors.
Speaking about special events, this coming week in Louisiana, the main event will give a bracelet to the winner along with a $25,000 guarantee. Another big event, actually two of them, will have a $15,000 guarantee with a $345 buy-in NLH event.
The events that are to take place starting Saturday will come with at least a guaranteed prize pool of $3000 minimum, so a lot of money is in the line. Out of the nine events that will host this resort, eight of them are NLH, however, there is something as well for the Omaha players. The $250 pot-limited Omaha tourney will begin next Thursday at 3 pm and it comes with a $5,000 guarantee.
