Seattle Seahawks @ Cleveland Browns Betting Breakdown
Team ‘Fade The Browns’ continues to rumble on as they host the Seattle Seahawks in Cleveland. The Seahwaks will be coming into this game having covered the spread in both road games this season while putting up the 8th highest points per game over the first 5 weeks vs the Browns 25th.
Seattle also has the 4th highest yards per pass attempt in the league, which should a big plus against a Cleveland teams that’s ranked in the bottom half of teams in most defensive categories and just got exposed by a 49ers team that is arguably weaker than this Seahawks squad. And with Russell Wilson’s home/away stats being relatively even, it’s tough to imagine how these two teams can be labelled as being essentially equal on a neutral field, which is what the spread indicates after accounting for the 3 points awarded to the home team (editor’s note: since the time of writing, the betting line has moved from SEA +2.5 to SEA -1.5). So while the recreational money will continue to pour in on the Browns this entire season, artificially inflating the lines, I’ll happily take my chances on the better, more experienced, team regardless if I get a couple of points or have to give a few up.
