New video game introduced on Bitcoin Cash blockchain
RealmX is showing how versatile blockchain technology is for innovation
There is still a lot of confusion about why businesses should adopt blockchains, with many people not understanding their capabilities. Every day, new applications are being introduced that demonstrate the power and versatility of the innovative data solutions, but a new example has emerged that should help drive home the point. RealmX is a new video game that is completely offered on the Bitcoin Cash (BCH) blockchain.
The game was rolled out yesterday and is available for download on Google Play for Android, as well as for download on PC. Developers have submitted an iOS version to Apple for its approval, but that is still in process. According to a previous Medium post on the game, “RealmX is a next-generation product developed by Block Hop. It is the world’s first free to play sandbox game powered by blockchain technology, which currently builds on Bitcoin Cash. The game aims to redefine the relationship between developers and gamers. Within the RealmX game, players will be able to create items, battle monsters, monetize their content, and finally lead main game development as the game progresses.”
Instead of the data being stored on a central server or on the gamer’s machine, it is stored completely on the blockchain. This means that any assets the gamer purchases are legitimately owned by the gamer and can traded (or even sold) to anyone else, anywhere in the world.
RealmX also explains, “The RealmX team believes that as a sandbox game, player creation should be correctly credited and rewarded as they are what make the game possible and unique. Therefore, in RealmX, every player has chances to create their own recipe for new equipment/weapons. They can decide the design, the ingredients, and the price. Whenever another play is charged to craft the item on the recipe, the owner will receive BCH income.”
