New England @ New York Giants Betting Breakdown
If you read my NE and NYG betting breakdowns last week, you would have been on board had the two easiest covers of the week, something that seems to have a high likelihood of coming true once again when these two teams meet in New England this Thursday. With the Daniel Jones hype still in play, this is an opportunity to back the most dominant team so far this season at reduced pricing (if we can call a 17-point favorite ‘reduced pricing’). With all the problems I’ve been harping on for a month now still in play including a bottom five secondary, a rookie QB, and a backup x2 RB, I struggle to find the Giants’ path to victory in this one, even when discussing a two and a half touchdown spread.
With New York getting thoroughly dominated against a Vikings team that is ranked 4th in defensive efficiency, they now get the pleasure of traveling into a hostile environment on a short week to face the team that ranks 1st in total defense, 1st in passing defense, and 4th in rushing defense. So while the -17 spread is likely still to be good in this one, the key with backing New England this season continues to be the catch the line as early as possible, something we were able to do in our free discord group at just -13.5 immediately after the open (dm me on instagram @yancityca to join). But if the first quarter of the season is any indication, regardless of whether you caught the best line at 13 or 17, your odds of covering the New England Patriots spread continue to be the best bet in the market.
