Buffalo Bills @ Tennessee Titans Betting Breakdown
In another classic case of ‘buy the bottom, sell the top’, the Tennessee Titans will be hosting the Buffalo Bills coming off their biggest win of the season, lambasting a painfully bad Falcons’ team 24-10 to move back to .500 at 2-2. Meanwhile the Bills will come into this one after a nail-biting loss to the Patriots in a game where quarterback Josh Allen sustained a potential concussion after suffering a nasty helmet-to-helmet hit from New England’s Jonathan Jones – who was not even called for a penalty on the play. Still, whether it’s in support of Allen at the helm or serviceable backup QB Matt Barkley, the Bills defense seem poised for another stellar outing coming into the game having given up the 2nd fewest total yards, 12th fewest rushing yards per attempt, and 3rd fewest passing yards per attempt over the first four weeks of the season. Meanwhile the Titans’ sit smack in the middle of the pack for most defensive categories while sporting the 7th fewest yards per play in the league, a stat that should only get worse facing by far their stiffest defensive test of this young season. Taking that into consideration as well as the fact that Barkley has a history of solid play in relief of Allen – going 15 of 25 for 232 yards and a touchdown in a 41-10 win over the New York Jets last season – and this one seems like a fantastic spot to sell the top on the Titans’ and take the free points to boot.
