NBA 2K20 coming next month
The 21st installment of the popular basketball video game includes some awesome new features
The video game industry continues to make incredible strides in the realism department and this innovation is allowing certain titles to retain their popularity year after year. Few can brag of the longevity enjoyed by NBA 2K, which is about to see its 21st release. As far as video games go, the graphics are amazing and fans don’t have to wait long to see them up close and personal. NBA 2K20 is coming soon – really soon.
The NBA-based basketball game is set to be released on September 6. This will give sports fans something to do following the start of regular season NFL action a day earlier. Gracing the cover of the game is Anthony Davis, complete with his new Lakers uniform. The Lakers picked up Davis this past June, bringing him on in exchange for three players – Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and Lonzo Ball – and three first-round draft picks.
The game, which is released through a joint venture between Visual Concepts and Y2K Sports, will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and Windows. Versions for Android and iOS devices are planned, as well. For those that don’t want to wait until September 6, a demo version, complete with a “My Career” mode, will be released this Wednesday.
A new addition is making its way to NBA 2K. For the first time ever, the WNBA is being represented, and the game offers both scrimmage and regular season games. Candace Parker, the WNBA five-time All-Star, says of the inclusion, “To have the WNBA be in the position we are and to have women featured prominently in ‘NBA 2K20,’ we are allowing young girls and boys to have female athletes as roles models.”
It’s time to break out the high-tops and get ready for some incredible hoops action.
