WSOP’s “Naked Man” threatens to shoot up Vegas casinos
Ken Strauss needs help. He made that painfully obvious during the recent WSOP series of tournaments, when he jumped on a poker table, stripped off his clothes and decided to flash anyone whose eyes glanced up from their cards. If that weren’t enough to get the requisite 15 minutes of fame, Strauss has decided to tack on a little more time and has threatened to shoot up Las Vegas-area casinos.
Strauss didn’t just strip naked at the Rio – he repeated his activity later in the day at the Luxor Casino. Now, just about three weeks later, he made what was accepted to be an ominous threat on Twitter over the weekend. He tweeted, “Shootings are taking place all over Las Vegas. Please leave me alone @VenetianVegas I have no place to go currently. And all Casinos that have me banned will be destroyed effective immediately. And @Rio, get my belongings together immediately when @POTUS declares safe I’m going.”
Police picked him up Saturday evening and charged him with making threats, which is an act of terrorism. Given the massacre that took place outside the Mandalay Bay less than two years ago, no one is willing to take any chances. Strauss posted a $20,000 bond and was set free on Sunday.
Strauss either needs to be on meds and doesn’t have them or is on them and ran out, unable to refill his prescription. Only a week ago, he was on a Twitter rage talking about absolutely nothing. He said, “In all due respect DO NOT leave your place of residence tonight. All restaurants are closing at 6pm ET. All businesses need to close now. This is serious shit! Don’t go to Your @MLB ballpark. There won’t be any games. It’s my time! I’m done only being a legend in Pittsburgh!”
He posted on July 23 that he was sorry and would be taking a break from Twitter. Apparently that tweet, just like everything else he says, is a gross exaggeration.
