Alliance wins Dota Summit 10
The tournament favorite showed why it was expected to win
Going into the Dota Summit 10, Alliance was already expected to emerge victorious. As the eSports action got underway, it became increasingly obvious that Alliance was there for the kill and the team never let up. It dropped three games during the competition, but ultimately swept the series and proved itself to be an unstoppable force.
Alliance took down Complexity Gaming, J Storm and Team Serenity with relative ease. It was only paiN Gaming that gave the team some resistance, but it wasn’t enough. Alliance arrived with a high amount of energy and kept it going throughout the series.
PaiN was the only team to give Alliance a loss during the group stage, halting an otherwise perfect run. It continued its attack and PaiN forced Alliance to compete in a lower bracket after it pulled off two consecutive victories. Alliance wasn’t deterred, though, and fought back to beat Serenity, which led to a rematch between the two groups.
Alliance didn’t hold anything back during the finals competition and paiN never knew what hit it. The onslaught was fierce and Alliance took two straight victories to control the match. Just when it looked as though paiN would recover in the third game, Alliance leveled its opponent and sealed its win, 3-0.
