Red Dead Online adds poker, other upgrades
The popular video game continues to develop and add more missions
Rockstar has tried to keep Red Dead Redemption 2 Online as interesting as possible, but it’s sometimes difficult to keep up with the whims of gamers. It introduced new weapons, gold nuggets and more this past February, but the game has now been brought out of beta and Rockstar has launched its biggest update so far.
Red Dead Online now includes a hostility system, restructured daily challenges, more free roam and “a land of opportunities” missions and, finally, poker. Poker was one of the most often requested features and the game can be found in locations such as Valentine, Tumbleweed, Flatneck Station, Blackwater and Saint Denis. The tables allow up to six players and gamers can organize private games or take their chances in public matches that offer larger buy-ins and rewards.
The missions associated with A Land of Opportunities follow Jessica LeClerk as she seeks revenge following her husband’s murder. There are a number of different options available, each with a separate outcome that will provide unique twists to the game.
The free roam missions now include new characters, as well as new mission types. Each mission has players facing new challenges, such as working for Thomas the Skiff Captain or a gig at Aberdeen Pig Farmers. There are also new dynamic events that lead to rewards such as honor, cash, XP or gold.
In addition to new content, there are other changes, as well. In addition to added playing modes, there is a new control scheme, new daily challenges and awards, as well as increased gold payouts.
