Four teams for the upcoming Blast Pro Series in Los Angeles revealed
The tournament will be held next month and two more teams are yet to be announced
The Blast Pro Series Los Angeles is coming up in about two months and new details are now emerging. Six teams are expected to compete in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) event, with four now having been announced. As the tournament draws news, the teams will definitely start to take their training into overdrive to prepare for the massive event.
The Blast Pro Series will be held on July 12 and 13 at Galen Center at the University of Southern California. FaZe Clan, Cloud9, MIBR and Team Liquid have already been confirmed, with Team Liquid representing the North American CS: GO realm. The remaining two teams should be announced in the coming weeks.
Team Liquid’s participation has caused a little bit of a controversy. The team is going to skip the ESL One Cologne event, which some say is the most prestigious CS: GO tournament in the world. However, in Team Liquid’s case, it’s easier to travel to California than it is to make the trek to Germany.
All teams will be battling for a piece of the $250,000 prize pool, the Blast trophy and spots at the 2019 Season Tournament. That event will have the four best teams of the entire season participating in the Global Final.
In a first for the Blast Pro Series, this year’s competition will see a music partnership. Asking Alexandria has been tapped to provide music for the event, with the group’s song “When The Lights Come On” being used as the official tournament song.
