Excel Esports needs a team manager for League of Legends
The organization wants someone that can help the group bounce back from recent losses
Excel Esports didn’t do too well at the recent League of Legends European Championship. It finished next to last, only notching five wins against 13 losses. Almost any professional sports organization would see this as an opportunity to revamp its coaching staff and Excel is no different. It is now looking for a new team manager that can turn the group around.
The group has posted a job opening for a team manager that can whip the group into shape prior to the upcoming Summer Split. According to the posting, the candidates applying for the position must have extensive knowledge of League of Legends on both a national and an international level, and must be legally able to work and live in Germany and the UK. They should also have “Experience in an esports management or corporate management role.”
The position comes with some pretty good benefits. The manager will be entitled to a gym membership and 25 vacation days a year, as well as “2 Meals a day, 6 times a week” and accommodations are included. European travel and, possibly, international travel are also part of the package.
In addition to looking for a new manager, Excel has been revamping the team in order to strengthen its position. Petter “Hjarnan” Freyschusson joined the roster on May 8 and David “DLim” Lim is now part of the team, as well. DLim was previously the coach for FC Schalke 04 in the last split. Both players join Raymond “kaSing” Tsang, a veteran of the Legends European Championship.
