New Star Wars video game from Lego could be on its way
The game was possibly leaked by a voice actor playing General Grevious
A new Lego Star Wars video game could be coming to PCs and consoles in the near future. There has yet to be an official announcement made about the game, but astute gaming fans paying attention to comments made by a voice actor in a previous Star Wars game picked up on a clue that may, or may not, have been an intentional slip.
Matthew Wood, who plays General Grevious, was recently participating in an interview at the Star Wars Celebration event. Wood was talking about a lot of projects that are currently underway and rambled off a list of activities. In the middle, he stated, “…There’s a Lego Star Wars game we’re working on…”
Lego Star Wars has been an overwhelming success. It has adapted the movie series’ entire prequel trilogy, the original trilogy, Clone Wars TV show and an entire game devoted to it from Episode 7: The Force Awakens. The description for that game read, “The Force is strong with this one… The No. 1 LEGO® videogame franchise triumphantly returns with a fun-filled, humorous journey through the new Star Wars adventure. Play as all of the characters from the movie, including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, and BB-8, as well as Kylo Ren, General Hux and Captain Phasma.”
Sources have said that the next installment is more than just another adaption of a remaining episode – The Rise of Skywalker or The Last Jedi – but, rather, encompasses the entire sage and is said to be the “ultimate” Lego Star Wars Game. We’ll have to wait to see what Warner Bros. has to say on the subject.
