March’s video game release highlights
There are some interesting changes coming this month
March Madness may refer to college hoops, but there’s also some march madness in store for video game fans. This month, a number of exciting changes and updates are coming, and will take the gaming community to a whole new level.
Four games are coming to Xbox platforms through Microsoft’s Games With Gold program. Star Wars: Republic Commando, Metal Gear Rising, Revengeance, Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 and Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion are going to be introduced at varying stages throughout the month. The first two are available for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, while the latter two are available only for the Xbox One.
PlayStation 4 is ready to roll out two free titles this month. The free titles are made available the first Tuesday of every month and are accessible until the first Tuesday of the following month. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, a remake of Call of Duty 4 from 2007, includes recreated multiplayer maps with new killstreaks and also includes a single-player campaign mode. The Witness is more of a brain game, with players dropped onto an island where they have to solve interconnected puzzles and uncover stories based on the island’s previous inhabitants.
Twitch has four free games coming out for PC users. These include Star Vikings Forever, The King’s Bird, Kabounce and Snake Pass. Redeeming the games is simple – log into Twitch, click the “crown” in the top right corner and claim the game. Twitch Prime subscribers can also send one friend a copy of each free game.
