Fortnite update coming today

Fortnite: Battle Royale is set to receive update v8.10

Epic Games wants to make sure that the popularity of Fortnite: Battle Royale doesn’t wane. It continues to provide regular updates to the game in order to keep things interesting, and the last changes are expected to be rolled out today in a new update, v8.10.

According to Epic’s Fortnite webpage, there are some pretty awesome changes being introduced. One is “The Baller,” which is described as a “single seat vehicle” that is “found at Expedition Outposts and around pirate camp loot stashes.” It allows you to “combine your boost and grapple to perform unbelievable feats with the newest vehicle addition to Battle Royale!” Additionally, you can “use the attached Grappler and Boost functionality to pull yourself up cliffs or swing through the trees.”

Vending machines now offer free items. However, after they dispense a new weapon or item, they disappear. All “Common” and “Uncommon” vending machines have been taken out, as has the mounted turret from the Legendary Vending Machine.

The infantry rifle has seen the removal of the “Common” rarity. The rarity for the heavy assault rifle was swapped from “Rare/Epic/Legendary” to “Common/Uncommon/Rare” and the base damage scaling was set to 36/38/40.

Several bugfixes were included in the latest release, as well. Among these were a fix to “rocket smoke trails disappearing instantly on explosion” and a fix to “an issue where Buried Treasure would not auto pickup when the Auto Pickup Weapons setting was enabled.”

There were also a number of other additions and changes made to gameplay, including improved effects and custom animation capabilities to more items in the game. Fortnite has already proven itself to be one of the most popular video games on the planet, and these updates will certainly prove to be a hit with gamers.
