TSM makes a return to CS:GO
The team dropped out of CS:GO tournaments in 2017
Team SoloMid (TSM) is looking to get back into Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO) after a hiatus of a little more than two years. The team disappeared in 2017, but has apparently realized that it missed the action and is now looking to recruit players from other teams to join TSM.
TSM’s former team all left at the beginning of 2017, with most going to Misfits Gaming. Among the former team members are Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, Skyle “Relyks” Weaver, Soham “Valens” Chowdhury, Hunter “Sick” Mims and Shazeb “ShahzaM” Khan.
The team did well in CS:GO when it was active. It had success in several events, such as ESL ESEA Pro League and FACEIT’s 2015 CS:GO series, but subsequently disbanded for various reasons. The best performance for TSM’s North American team when it made it to the semi-finals of ECS Season 1 Finals under Pujan “FNS” Mehta.
When the team quit playing in 2017, TSM stated, In light of recent events regarding ex-player Sean ‘sgares’ Gares, we are announcing the departure of our CS:GO Squad consisting of Russel ‘Twistzz’ David Van Dulken, Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan, Skyler ‘Relyks’ Weaver, and Hunter ‘SicK’ Mims. This decision was made after the relationships between the organization and the remaining players continued to deteriorate over the past few weeks, partly in due to the remaining squad’s explicit desire to continue playing together with sgares.” TSM let Gares go after accusing him of having manipulated players.
