Monster Hunter video game to appear on the big screen

The star of the movie should come as no surprise to anyone

Monster Hunter has been a huge success with video game fans. The Capcom-developed video game franchise began to impress in 2004 and is still going strong with its latest release, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, which was released in August of last year. Now, as has been seen with other popular video games like Doom and Resident Evil, Monster Hunter has been made into a movie. The movie’s star is someone whose name has become synonymous with sci-fi thrillers.

Milla Jovovich, along with her husband, Paul W.S. Anderson, has been working on Monster Hunter since last year. The star of movies such as Resident Evil, The Fifth Element and Ultraviolet, is the perfect individual to play Lieutenant Artemis, as she leads her loyal soldiers into combat.

According to the official plot release, “Behind our world, there is another: a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, revolting attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man who has found a way to fight back.”

Along with Jovovich, some other big-name stars will appear, as well. Josh Helman, who starred as Jeb in Jack Reacher and William Stryker in X-Men: Days of Past and X-Men Apocalypse, will join Ron “Hellboy” Perlman for the flick.
