Borgata Includes Event Benefiting Disabled Veterans in 2018 BFPO
The 2018 Borgata Fall Poker Open began yesterday with the Deepstack Kick-Off event. It is the first of 20 events primary events included on the schedule. This weekend, the series coincides with Veterans Day and includes a special charity tournament benefiting disabled veterans.
The Veterans Day Deeper Stack kicks off on November 11, picking up the day after the first Deeps Stack event ends on November 10. The Deeper Stack includes a $240 buy-in. $10 from every tournament entry will be donated to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) chapter in Atlantic City.
The Veterans Day charity poker tournament boasts a $25,000 guarantee. Several prominent poker pros including Dennis Phillips are committed to attending the event.
Between the opening event and the Veterans Day tournament for charity is yet another Deepstack event on the schedule. The Deepstack Black Chip Bounty on November 9 has a $500 buy-in and comes with a $100,000 guarantee. The guarantee goes up on November 12 with the $500 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed Deepest Stack event.
Finally, the stack tournaments top out with Borgata's annual Almighty Stack event on November 14. The biggest of all the stack events give players four days to enter the tournament and has a $450 buy-in paired with an impressive $300,000 guarantee.
However, the Almighty Stack is far from the biggest tournament on the schedule. The 2018 Borgata Fall Poker Open Championship begins November 17 and touts a $1 million guaranteed. The Championship has a $2,700 buy-in and offers players just two entry day options.
